A tray or Compartment Dryer is an enclosed insulated chamber in which trays are placed on top of each other in trolleys. The material to be dried either wet or solids are placed in the tray. Heat transfer is done by circulation of hot air by electric heaters in radiator coils. Blower fans are installed inside to ensure proper circulation and transfer of heat. A control panel to control the temperature and other parameters is fixed outside the dryer. There is also arrangement of digital temperature controller.

Used for converting molten Slurries into dried solid flakes. In the rotary dryers material is fed into a feed hopper which directs the materials on the face of rotating drum. The drum is heated or cooled depending on the application to enable the material to cling to the outside of the drum. The material is dried during the rotation of the drum and is removed by a blade or scrapper mounted along the length of the roll.
